This prime residential garden was built and planted at the end of summer 2018 in partnership with Cheevers Howard and Mark Whyman Landscapes. It comprised different tiers of the main garden area with a central grass lawn, timber decking left natural to silver and weather with age, new Yew hedging and topiary forms, herbaceous planting beds and scented boundary climbers. Extensive terrace areas and steps were created with a beautiful new Yorkstone, along with many bespoke timber elements including a balustrade handrail, bicycle storage and cushion cupboards. New lighting with an aged bronze patina was specified by Alexander Stileman Lighting to complement the new garden aesthetic and allow for entertainment throughout the evening.
A lower garden courtyard that included painted trellis trained with evergreen climbers, antiqued mirror panels and lounging daybeds was formed to create a lush, green soft seating area, reminiscent of ‘The Hamptons’ style, turning what was previously a dark and damp space to an inviting garden retreat for this young family.
