JOURNAL
A growing collection of what inspires us at the Studio, where we go, what we see and what we like. The 'behind the scenes' to our role as garden designers and a creative insight as to how we research ideas.
Tree selection
Tagging trees, hedging and plant material in the UK and abroad to ensure the best specimens are selected for our projects.
Nursery visits
Visiting plant nurseries helps inspire us with interesting plant combinations and looking at new varieties. Talking through ideas with expert horticulturalists informs our plant selection and choose the right plants.
Material research
Visiting quarries, gardens and looking at all elements of design are important to inform new ideas for our practice and use materials in interesting ways.
unusual plant forms
Looking at how plants can be shaped in to different forms can inspire us to use these in our projects in wonderful ways.
